Water First

Coffee’s great too, but it’s best to start your day by re-hydrating with a full glass of water. Hydrating first thing in the morning helps to aid digestion, enhance skin health and boost energy.

Don’t Skip Breakfast

Eating a proper breakfast is one of the most positive things you can do. Breakfast skippers tend to gain weight. A balanced breakfast includes fresh fruit or fruit juice, a high-fiber breakfast cereal, low-fat milk or yogurt, wholewheat toast, and a boiled egg.

Don’t Smoke

Smoking is linked with lung and mouth cancers and macular degeneration, a leading cause of blindness. If you’ve tried to quit before and failed, keep trying and you’ll be more likely to succeed. Every time you try, you’re one step closer to success!

Go For A Walk Every Day

With the pandemic forcing many people to stay at home, more and more of us have the time to walk, and many of us have made it part of our daily routine. Walking 30 minutes a day helps improve your balance, strengthen bones, trim body fat, and reduce risk of heart disease and stroke.

Exercise For 10 Minutes

Research suggests that even just 10 minutes of exercise is enough to induce feelings of happiness. People who exercise about 10 minutes a day are more cheerful than those who never exercise. Physical activity can help protect against depression regardless of age and geographical region, according to a study published in the American Journal of Psychiatry.

Surround Yourself With Happy People

Happiness may be contagious. So spend time with people who are positive and make you happy. Research by experts from Harvard Medical School and the University of California San Diego found that those who were around cheerful people were happier themselves and were in a better mood.

Don’t Sleep On One Side

If you sleep on one side, you are more prone to developing wrinkles on your face. You also raise the possibility of disrupting circulation in your arm by sleeping on one side, which can cause you to wake up during the night. People who sleep on one side tend to shift more often, and that can result in less restful sleep.

Take Some Time Out For Yourself

Think about things you love to do or just take a moment away from everything to relax and get in touch with yourself. A bit of ‘me time’ might be just the thing you need to de-stress, ease anxiety, be present, find respect for yourself and/or create more energy.
